Five Bedroom Villa on Peljesac located on stunning beach
This beautiful beachfront villa is located near Orebic on the Peljesac peninsula. It offers direct access from the garden to one of the best beaches in the region, as sandy as is possible to find in Croatia, leading out into wonderful turquoise water. The villa is set within a very large garden filled with lemon, lime and fig trees as well as palm trees which offer plenty of shade. A gate at the end of the garden leads down to a set of steps and onto the wonderful beach below.
The villa is approached from the rear where there is parking for up to three cars. Guests walk down a short pathway to get to the front (sea-facing) part of the villa where the entrance is located. Guests enter into a large modern open plan kitchen / diner /lounge area. On this ground floor level there are also three double bedrooms and a separate bathroom. A spiral staircase leads to the first floor where guests will find two double bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom. Both bedrooms have doors leading out onto a shared sea facing terrace. A spacious roof terrace with dining table and chairs completes the villa.
The outside area of the villa is most definitely the ‘main attraction’. Patio doors from the lounge lead out onto a large area for dining equipped with a traditional stone grill with firewood and all tools located at the side of the property .This makes for an ideal entertaining area. In addition there is a comfortable outdoor lounge. Both the outdoor lounge and dining areas are shaded by an attractive wooden sun shade. Further forward there is a spacious garden where at the end 4 marble chairs and a table are positioned to enjoy the best of the sea view. Stairs (60 steps) lead down to the exquisite beach and turquoise water. There is also an outdoor bathroom with a shower, as well as an outdoor kitchen.
A short walk away there is a very pretty Tikki bar and restaurant overlooking the sea as well as a scuba diving centre. There is a wonderful sunken ship to view off the coast near the villa. Nearby in Orebic plenty of nightlife can be found as well as more restaurants. From Orebic it is a short ferry ride to visit the city of Korcula whilst approximately 15kms from the villa there is the coastal town of Viganj, popular with windsurfers - surfing lessons can be taken at a surfing school here. For sports lovers, a sailing school can be found in Korcula. Guests staying in this region can also visiting local vineyards, take a day trip to Dubrovnik/Mostar and other places such as the National Park of Mljet Island.

It's a second holiday in row.
Impressed with: Sea
Recommend: Beach restaurants
Stayed September 2016No mention of the steep steps down to the beach. Photos appear to indicate that the beach is on the same level as the house, which is definitely not the case. The elderly members of our group found it difficult to manage the steps down to the beach. It would have been good to know about this beforehand. We may have chosen another property if we had had a more realistic picture of the situation. Handrails all the way down would have helped.
The last 20 steps or so from the house down to the beach don't have a handrail. This made it impossible for the elderly members of our party to get to the beach and they were unable to share this aspect of our holiday with us.
Caretaker was really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
Impressed with: Scenery, the sea, reasonable prices.
Recommend: Trip to Korcula was wonderful.
Favourite villa moment: The villa is really comfortable and we loved being there. Swimming in the sea was a highlight for most of us.
Villa Comments: Thank you for your comments, we will consider adding a hand rail for the last few steps down to the beach in time for next year.
Stayed August 2015
Read more reviewsExcellent! We really enjoyed our stay there!
Impressed with: The sea
Recommend: Boat tour.
Favourite villa moment: Having breakfast and dinners in the beautiful patio. Enjoying the small beach just across the villa's gate at the sunset.Stayed August 2015
Nice Service!! Caretaker is a really nice woman!! Gives us all Information we need for our holiday
The Information that there are really many stairs up to the sea. Good info for pregnant or older people.
Impressed with: Really nice Country- rocks, sea, Wood and beach
Recommend: A really nice trip is to drive with the water taxi to Korcula the Island next to Orebic. In Korcula you can eat really really good in the Restaurant "CHEFS-Steak and Pasta" - Modern Dalmatische Kitchen In Orebic we can recommend a nice Restaurant calls "Adriatic" like the Camping place beside the house.
Favourite villa moment: Really nice is the seaview! Nice beach and nice sea.
Stayed July 2015We're at the villa and it's even more breathtaking than we imagined.
Stayed June 2015Great location. Only 2 issues we found were that the roof over the deck leaked badly when it rained and the shower in one of the main bedrooms upstairs had only hot water which meant it couldn't be used.
Agent for the property was excellent and very accommodating.
Impressed with: The unbelievably clear water
Recommend: Had drinks and food at both bars on the beach and were happy with both. The town of Orebic and the island of Korcula are highlights of the area.
Favourite villa moment: Having a Croatian seafood feast provided by the bar next door.
Villa Comments:
The upstairs shower has both cold and hot water. This is 100% confirmed. Due to mineral deposits the geysers were clogged. Sunflower shower head has been cleaned to remove calcium, etc deposits. Seems OK now.
We were not aware about the problem with the roof. We called the roofer who fixed it. Thanks for letting us know.
Stayed June 2015The villa was even better live than on the photographs. Pictures cannot capture how spacious and beautiful this place is. The beach, the hammocks and the variety of outdoor communal sitting areas gave us unforgettable memories of a perfect holiday. Caretaker was very friendly.
We named, fed and fell in love with the 2 cats at the Villa. Brutus and Rufus :) They made the experience very homely and even more difficult to leave. We hope that the next guests will take good care of them :)
Impressed with: The scenery! Beautiful hills, vineyards and stunning views of the ocean. We witnessed a thunderstorm from the top balcony and I have never seen anything like it! It was spectacular and beautiful!
Not impressed with: Grumpy Croatians :)
Recommend: We went to Korcula for the day and found a little gem of a restaurant called Mate in the town of Pupnat. The food, wine and atmosphere is excellent if you are looking for something authentic and traditionally Croatian. It is also worth going up the bell tower in Korcula town for the views. Only 10 minutes away from the Villa, there is a little winery stall with a big wine bottle on the right side of the main road up the hill. Opposite direction of Orebic. The wine was delicious and the view absolutely stunning especially at sunset.
Favourite villa moment: There were too many! :) This was just the perfect holiday and we will be coming back :)Stayed September 2013
Weather and scenery were beautiful. Driveway access is long and one way and not for a big car. The beachfront is actually access to a 30' wide pebbly opening in the rocks. The pebbly beach next door is bigger and great for kids. Hammocks and chairs under the fruit and nut trees are very a pleasant place to read.
Unit has 2 large bedrooms with private baths and balconies plus 3 double bedrooms sharing one small bath. The kitchen is more like I would expect for a small house. The outside terrace dining area seated 12 and was very pleasant.
Impressed with: Sunshine and scenery are wonderful. There are hordes of tourists but it is undeveloped enough to find many off the beaten track places. English spoken to a degree almost everywhere.
Not impressed with: The beach experience is oversold, I think, but the waters are beautiful and clear.
Recommend: Adriatic hotel restaurant next door was very good. The motor boat tour provided by Adiatric next door was excellent.Stayed August/September 2013
The property is beautiful and luxurious, we enjoyed every moment we spent there. The caretaker went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
Impressed with: Beautiful landscapes everywhere both inland and on the coast. The Plitvice Lakes are unbelievably breathtaking. Food was excellent and affordable. Everywhere we went we felt sake and did not feel we have to worry about our belongings at all times as is sometimes the case when travelling.
Not impressed with: The roads were good, the main highway from Zagreb to the coast was excellent and well-marked. However, driving in Zagreb was a challenged as the roads were not always well marked. A GPS is recommended if you are planning to drive there.
Recommend: We enjoyed touring the wineries on the peninsula and a day trip to the island of Korcula.
Favourite villa moment: Dinner times on the outdoor patio with friends.Stayed August 2013
Caretaker left her contact details and was very friendly / helpful.
Impressed with: Weather and scenery.
Not impressed with: People don't seem that friendly.
Recommend: The Ship in Orebic.
Favourite villa moment: Every day!Stayed July 2013
Beautiful house, perfect terrace and so many seating options outside, we didn't know which spot to try first. Large hammocks a big hit. Upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms, stunning.
The Caretaker couple were both delightful. Extremely helpful and easy company. Definitely an asset to the property.
There are two campsites locally, one on either side of the house. It wasn't a problem at all for us, but the location wasn't as isolated as we had expected.
Recommend: The Panorama Restaurant above Orebic was excellent. Had a Pig Roast with the friendly owner offering complimentary schnapps all round! Loved the town of Loviste too. beautiful. Korcula at sunset was stunning. Rooftop cocktails quirky and fun.
Favourite villa moment: Family BBQ. Roasting meat on the open BBQ and creating a local dish of roasted vegetables under the Bell.Stayed July 2013
Excellent. This villa was wonderful. Be careful with big cars, because the street, in which we could go to the villa so small street. Caretaker was very kindly and helpful.
Favourite villa moment: The dinners in the garden, and after the relaxing in the hammock. (And the fruits in the tree, the atmosphere, the beach, which open from the garden, etc.)
Stayed July/August 2012
I will recommend this property. The crockery is very chipped and should be replaced. Figuring out how to use manage the hot water in the showers was also a bit of a challenge for the first couple of days. (very small geyers, only one flow rate/but heat up quickly) so wait between showers and shower quickly! The caretaker was friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant next door was not very good. (mussels & calamari).
Impressed with: The view from the bottom of the garden. The scenery, cleanliness, lifestyle.
Not impressed with: Grafitti.Villa Comments: New crockery has been ordered and arriving any day.
Stayed May 2012
Would be great having the coordinates for a car navigation system.
The villa was wonderful, huge garden and great rooms. But ... - We missed better bed sheds (the ones with elastic rubber band, so they stay fixed while you are sleeping). - The dependence of the villa is not mentioned in the description and it should have a much better privacy shield also against the camp ground - A little bit less of trees would be better (the garden is almost all time in the shade) - Better keys (not that HUGE ones) . The caretaker was very nice and courteous.Impressed with: Friendliness of the people - the beaches with its clear water - the landscape (isles, mountains and water)
Recommend: The restaurant next door at the campground - restaurant at the hotel adriatic in orebic - restaurant karoka at the walkway in orebicFavourite villa moment: Apéro or star watching on the roof deck
Stayed June 2014
The villa was meeting all our requirents and expectations. One observation I like to make is that we had various thunder storms and that during that time the water leaked through the roof exposing the furniture. One night, when it rained heavily we had to safeguard the cushions to a safe place to protect them. Also, the rain entered under the front door which we protected with a towel.
The distance (and time) from Dubrovnik Airport to the villa was significant but guess that is a fact of life.Impressed with: The friendliness of the people. The flora and fauna and the clean sea.
Not impressed with: Nothing in particular.
Recommend:Korcula is a must to visit.
Favourite villa moment: The excellent time we spent with our children and grandchildren. It was pleasant that we had enough space available for all of us.Stayed July/August 2014
Excellent villa.
Many flights arrive before lunch, would be nice to have earlier access than 3 pm.
Impressed with: We rented a rib boat the last day and had a wonderful day on the small islands outside Orebic
Not impressed with: Roads
Recommend: We had dinner out only once, in orebic, don´t remeber the name
Favourite villa moment: We rented a rib boat the last day and had a wonderful day on the small islands outside OrebicCroatian Villas comments: Check in is generally from 3pm. This allows the property to carry out a villa clean from previous guests who would have checked out between 1000am – 11am in the morning of the same day. The villa does need around 4 hours in order to carry out a clean so that it is fully prepared for next guests. Early check in is on request. Clients are advised to contact the property directly in the morning of their arrival day to see if an early check in is possible. However please note the villas are not obliged to offer early check in.
Stayed August 2014
Unbelievably we nearly missed the amazing ship wreck snorkeling experience literally 60 Meters in the sea from the Villa ..... this needs to be clearer as it’s a great experience free of charge.
The property is not really suitable for 10 people because the hot water supply for the bathrooms is not enough for that many people. The bathrooms in the two main upper bedrooms are well equiped but you cannot use them due to the lack of hot water in a timely manner. 2) The kitchen appliances are past their best ..... the fridge is tired and the oven could not generate enough heat to cook food properly in a timely manner. 3) The Wi-Fi was not functioning but was finally repaired 2 days prior to our departure. Unfortunately we all incurred additional costs due to this .... 4) The pull out or sofa bed described is not correct ... it is a pull out bed with a mattress but very uncomfortable.
The BBQ facilities on the property were excellent The outside shower was fantastic and especially important due to the inside house hot water situation.
Impressed with: Our expectations were very modest so everything impressed us, we were delighted with the vacation
Not impressed with: The insects were a problem for some of our party ... we all got bitten some worse than others
Recommend: We had the most fantastic one day tour by boat (Dalmatian Tours) ...... outstanding value with a fantastic Captain who picked us up from outside the Villa .... the most memorable event.
Favourite villa moment: There were quite a few but star gazing from the upper balcony and beach stood outVilla Comments: The hot water supply is more than enough and the villa features the largest water tank available, however unfortunately the hot water button was not switched to the ‘on’ position. It may have been overlooked and no one mentioned it at the time. A new fridge is being installed for 2015. Unfortunately WiFi went down and was fixed as fast as possible, can happen. Sofa bed has been removed from the description.
Stayed August 2014
Everything was amazing. Maybe the garden could have been cleaner with less trees so sunlight can shine in.
Recommend: The buffet at Camp Adriatic has excellent calamari;)
Favourite villa moment: Sitting outside in the beautiful weather.Villa Comments: We hire a private landscape company to do a spring trim every year. I’m also going to employ a landscape architect to upgrade the garden.
