Dubrovnik Cable Car

Glide 405 meters above terracotta tiled roofs and watch as the city’s medieval walls give way to reveal the picturesque harbour and crystal clear Adriatic coastline and its many islands.

Each of the cable cars two cabins can accommodate thirty passengers for the three minute ascent to the summit of Mount Srd, where breath taking views and photo opportunities from either of the two panoramic terraces can be enjoyed.

In any season, the 778 meter journey between the lower and upper stations of the Dubrovnik Cable Car is a fantastic activity for overseas and local visitors alike. Take in amazing sunsets, relax or enjoy some light refreshments from the summits café overlooking Dubrovnik’s magical old town.

Built in 1969 and operating until the early 1990’s, the original Dubrovnik gondola operated the same path to the top of Mount Srd and attracted some 2.5 million visitors a year. Now fully rebuilt, the new state of the art cable car is again a famed attraction in Dubrovnik with its birds-eye view over the historical city and turquoise waters of the Adriatic coastline.
