Read more reviewsProperty has a great panoramic view of the Croatian coast and islands. Owner was fantastic and very eager to please and made us feel very welcome. He was very quick to attend to any queries and very helpful, offering us lifts and recommendations in the area. Loved the place
Impressed with: Scenery and the people.
Not impressed with: Queue at the Bosnian border
Recommend: Hawaii Restaurant In Orasac (right by the sea) Kasar in Zaton (on the sea)
Favourite villa moment: Looking at the view with a glass of Croatian wine
Stayed June 2015Excellent. Very clean, modern, air conditioned, spacious, fantastic views. Everything you could want in the kitchen utensil drawer!
Caretaker is an extremely helpful and hardworking host! He wanted to make sure our stay was a memorable one. Very friendly and very good recommendations for eating out.
Impressed with: Not too touristy - apart from Old Town Dubrovnik which is very overcrowded with 2 cruise ships docking each day. Very friendly people.
Not impressed with: The roads! Roads are not tarmac'd enough widthways to accommodate overtaking oncoming vehicles forcing you to the very edge of your lane and a 5ft drop!
Recommend: Hawaii Ankora Kasar
Favourite villa moment: The whole holidayStayed July/August 2013
Excellent. The property was fabulous! I do need to mention the fact that the balustrade to the upper/mezzanine level was pretty rickety. Therefore needs to be mentioned if children are to stay there. Owner was fabulous! Very helpful, knowledgeable, spoke fluent English gave us lots of information and would highly recommend him! His sister also, who sometimes frequents the basement apartment, made us a delicious cake. This may not be available to all residents though!
Some information regarding shopping times as we arrived on a bank holiday and there were no provisions for getting milk for our infant. Luckily, our host Toni got some from his sister who lived downstairs. There were other essentials that we needed but, luckily we had hired a car so that we found the ONLY supply store in Dubrovnik Old Town.
Loved the winding drive past the bar/shop area at the bend before our apartment. A truly Croatian set up. Provisions and locals hanging out. The apartment generally was extremely comfortable and very well equipped, especially the ice making mega-fridge! Nearby, there is a wonderful village. Tresteno, has a beautifully old arboretum that spreads down to the sea. The beach/coastline there has some stunning, cascading waterfalls and the sculptured (concrete manmade) insets of sunbathing areas with some derelict buildings that ooze the beautiful life that must have been led there! A place to explore even in the rain (as we did). Fantastic coastline and friendly people. Also unspoilt and no MacDonalds It's the way it should stay!!
