Good website, very good descriptions of the property. In a very quiet location, but excellent for total relaxation. You do need a car as there isn't a shop in walking distance.
Impressed with: Great weather, decent food and a lot more history that I expected
Not impressed with: So many mosquitoes!
Recommend: Trogir is the nearest largest town and there is plenty of restaurants there, but is around 25mins drive away.
Favourite villa moment: Relaxing by the private pool overlooking the seaStayed June 2017
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE 3 YRS AGO - GREAT SERVICE. FIRST CLASS THROUGHOUT – thanks. TG044 Apts were first class too - thanks for sorting this out also.
Owner was fantastic throughout.
Impressed with: Pace of life, people, coastline.
Not impressed with: Split crazy drivers!
Recommend: Sevid needs to have a couple more restaurants as it is far too quiet. Please do NOT recommend the Lanterna location is superb but the service was terrible and far too expensive for the quality of food. Tell guests that they will need a car if eating there.
Favourite villa moment: Everything - but looking out across the pool over the sea was memorable as to was the air conditioning which worked superbly throughout our stay. A huge thank you for helping us sort our holiday. I look forward to using your services in the future.
Stayed July/August 2016
Read more reviewsThe property was great with amazing views across the bay with the pool directly in front of the property. Lots of areas to sit out around the property.
Owner was excellent in all respects. He responded immediately to texts about our arrival and met us as arranged. He let us know each time when he was coming to clean the pool and offered to come an additional time after a storm. Wine awaiting our arrival and no deposit required. We did break a cup and when we told Nikola this was 'no problem'.
Impressed with: Friendly people, reasonable prices (pre Brexit!) and a beautiful coastline.
Not impressed with: The architecture and unfinished buildings.
Recommend: We enjoyed exploring the small towns nearby especially Primosten and would recommend a day trip to the Krka National Park to see the waterfalls
Favourite villa moment: Barbecuing each evening in the special Dalmatian Komin or as my husband calls it the -'smoke house'.
Stayed June 2016The property is fabulous and the host is very helpful and pleasant. The only challenge to the property is its location down the less than ideal roads especially the last kilometers. Otherwise and especially when you want to relax at the great villa and in the great nearby sea, the place is fantastic
The owner was extremely pleasant, supportive and welcoming, a real gentleman and great host. Sorry it took so long to provide this feedback. We were too busy with other things and thinking of the wonderful villa and holiday. it was too short in the end but we thoroughly loved it.
Impressed with: The beautiful water and great friendly people
Not impressed with: Main concern was the last roads into the villa. a little too rough and the driving a little hair raising
Recommend: Did not like the restaurant by the small yacht harbor. food was over-priced and not very good. The people were always trying to over sell the huge lobster or other over priced seafood. Restaurants in Rogoznica (especially Obala Kneza Domagoja 22,22203, Rogoznica,Kroatien) were much better for value and quality of food was excellent.
Favourite villa moment: Walking onto the balcony each morning and sitting on the balcony each evening was an absolute pleasure. Everything was just fantastic
Stayed July 2015Owner was very helpful. the owner gave us a very comprehensive tour of the property, 'beach', 'Barbeque' (which was wonderful - cooked most nights on the open fire in traditional Croatian style having had a cookery lesson from on how to use it) and he gave us advice on where to eat out. One of the two bicycles had a puncture on arrival which we immediately reported, and he then fixed straight away. We were also given 3 complementary bottles of wine, which was a very nice and unexpected touch.
The directions to the property, whilst comprehensive and with pictures, was lacking one 'turn' or picture of turn, and made it very difficult to find. This may need revising. We did tell the owner. We had a really lovely week there.
Impressed with: The beautiful coastline, the warm sea, and the architecture
Not impressed with: The grumpiness of staff in supermarkets.
Favourite villa moment: Relaxing on the terrace with a nice glass of Croatian wine, enjoying the view and playing scrabble! The best moment was our lamb, potatoes and red peppers on the BBQ turning out so well! Oh and the fig tree in the garden fed two of us all week!
Stayed August 2015Everything was great thanks. Couldn't have been better. We moved one of the bedside cabinets into the bunk room so there was a surface to put things on (drink, hairbrush - those sort of things) but apart from that all was perfect
What a lovely person owner is! Our flight - due in at Split quite late anyway - was delayed and yet he was still friendly and helpful when he met us at silly o'clock to show us the villa. He made us feel totally at home. Kept the pool beautifully clean - gave us things - a really nice man.
Keep up the good work!
Impressed with: The beautiful coastline with the umpteen islands and the crystal clear sea.
Not impressed with: Nothing
Recommend: The local shop has every day things, and the restaurant behind it had good food at very cheap prices - we ate there several times. The Lanterna is much more "up market" with nearer to English prices, but the venue and food is fabulous. The owner Jere took us out for the day in his boat and we had a fabulous time. Yet another person who goes the extra mile to make your day special.
Favourite villa moment: Relaxing on the veranda with a stunning view, pool to step into, or sea just meters away with the evening peka cooking in the bbq for later! BBQ in traditional Croatian manner was specialStayed August 2015
The property was beautiful, and had everything we were looking for. It was one of the best properties we have rented over the years, and we really appreciated air conditioning being in all the bedrooms. Sevid is a very quiet place, and we enjoyed a week of swimming, relaxing and reading, although we could of done with slightly cooler weather, to have permitted more exploring the coastline
The owner was extremely helpful and very friendly, and was always on hand if needed
Impressed with: The coastline is beautiful, and the sea is sheltered, making swimming easy. The people are extremely helpful and friendly
Not impressed with: It is not Croatia's fault, but we found it too hot, which made it difficult for us to go hiking and sightseeing. We tend to holiday in places like Iceland, Norway and Northern Europe, and are very active. However, we thought we would try a Mediterranean holiday for a change. Although relaxing, we did get bored towards the end. But if you like hot countries, sun bathing and all that, then Croatia hits the mark.
Recommend: Not really as we mainly catered ourselves, and did not go out much at all
Favourite villa moment: Snorkling in calm sea, diving for sea urchin shells
Stayed August 2015We did not miss anything. Before arrival we established Telephone contact with the owner. He gave us exceptionally good service before arrival, at arrival and during our stay.
The property was ideal for our purpose. We travelled from Norway in Our vintage Mercedes Benz sports cars so had cars available at all time. Cars are a must here as there are no shops or restaurants in the vicinity of the property. The property is located only few meters from the seaside with a beautiful view over the bay and the very small village on the nearby small peninsula. The Pool was comfortable even if we preferred to swim in the sea winch during our stay in late September still held 24 dg C. The property was very attractive, was in Perfect order and overall Perfect. The Owner was as said above very' helpful, friendly and service minded in all respects, the Perfect host.
Impressed with: Nice and friendly people. Fantastic archipelago With thousands of islands. Much like Norway.
Recommend: We had many excellent meals at Trogir, Primosten and Split. I do not have at hand names of restaurants. But we preferred Fish meals
Favourite villa moment: To walk over Beach to buy fresh bread 7 o'clock in the morning, followed by a long swim in the Beach. We also enjoyed the meal with lamb prepared Dalmatian way in the Barbecue taught us by the owner.Stayed September 2013
The villa is superb, but it would benefit from some enhancements: railings to secure the stairs, particularly in the pool area and the outside stairs. It was not a problem for us but other guests may wish for more seclusion - the villa is very exposed to the small road and neighbouring properties - so nude sun bathing or swimming would be a problem.
Impressed with: nature, coast
Not impressed with: stone beaches
Recommend: We rented a boat, and there is one great restaurant in walking distance - but advance reservation is advisable.
Favourite villa moment: Early mornings - standing on the upstairs terrace. Late evenings- watching the moon rise over the bay.Stayed August 2013
Caretaker helpful guy all good. Needs a sofa/comfy seat in lounge area
Impressed with: All good
Not impressed with: Split Airport which was a disaster for checking in on a Saturday
Recommend: Visit Primosten and Rojonitsca for good selection of restaurants. Small limited restaurant in Sevid called Toni's which is fine for easy meal and two minute walk. Krka national park ( 1 hour drive ) is a good trip. Our favourite restaurant is in Rojonitsca called Le Piaff which is excellent and very cheap ( £40 for family of four including drinks )Stayed August 2013
It was perfect. Caretaker was very helpful and friendly.
Impressed with: The beautiful clear water.
Recommend: We ate at the Lanterna restaurant many times. It was a short 15 minute walk from the villa. They were very friendly and spoke English.
Favourite villa moment: Caretaker explained how to BBQ Croatian style in a PEKA. We had a great time doing it and eating the meal.Stayed July/August 2013
Excellent, caretaker was Very nice and helpful!
Impressed with: Nice people and beautiful sea
Recommend: Boat trip from Marina. Wonderful for two families. Lanterna restaurant in Sevid, excellent!
Favourite villa moment: Closeness to the sea and the pool!Stayed July 2013
Communication with Croatian Villas prior to our departure was very efficient. This did not affect our stay, but the directions could be updated to reflect new construction of houses. In other properties in which we've stayed, there has been a "house book" that has information on where to take the trash, how the appliances work, restaurant recommendations in nearby towns, etc. While not necessary at TG017, as the owner was very accessible, this would be helpful to clients. Lastly, my 11-year old son wants to recommend a microwave for the property. Other than that, there was nothing for which we wanted.
The property was exactly as described and perfect for our needs. With regard to previous guest comments about the location, prior to our departure, we "drove" to the property via Google Earth, so we knew what to expect with regard to the roads. There was an easy way to exit the property, and we continued to use the route suggested by the owner to access the property (it was basically one-way). It was not difficult. The kitchen and bathrooms were recently remodeled to a very high standard, and a new table and chairs is in the dining room. We loved the outdoor furniture for reading and relaxing. The pool was perfect, and it is a short walk across the road to the property's beach access. (I would recommend swim shoes because of sea urchins.) The wifi worked great. Waking up in the morning and looking out to sea from the master bedroom was lovely. Everything was perfect.
The owner was very helpful and responsive to questions during our stay. He and his wife are delightful. He checked on us via telephone and email to ensure we had everything we needed. When I asked about a rack on which to dry clothes, he informed me where the rack was located at the property and then came to the property with a new rack for our use, which was helpful.
Impressed with: I was most impressed that Croatia is safe. We didn't have to worry about our 11/12-year olds going for a walk while we were at dinner or walking ahead of us on day trips. Everyone we encountered was nice and helpful. The sea and mountains were stunning. The history of the land and people was never ending. From the prehistoric period and the Iron Age, to the Romans, Medieval period, Venetians, Hungarians, Ottomans, Yugoslavia, and even Napoleon, it's a history buff's paradise. Past rulers have left their mark throughout the land.
Not impressed with: I would say the lack of direct roads from north to south increased travel time, but that's part of experiencing Croatia.
Recommend: We enjoyed the 15-minute walk along the opposite bay to the Tavern Lanterna restaurant several times. The food was excellent and the owners were very friendly. The kids were also able so swim and explore before and after dinner. Just up the road from the Villa and a 5-minute walk, there is Restaurant Toni, which is a cafe offering drinks and light food (pizza with ham, pasta bolognese, and chicken with fries). We only visited Toni in the afternoon, so there may be an expanded menu in the evening. Toni's also has a small grocery store which stocks all the basics one could need. For larger shopping trips, Rogoznica is a short trip on the main road (20 minutes), and Marina is an easy drive in the opposite direction for more restaurant choices. We didn't have time to try them, but there are also two restaurants very close on the main road to Rogoznica. Split was worth the drive to visit Diocletian's Palace, and we rented a boat and captain for a day trip to swim in small coves off the islands. The captain picked us up in Marina, cooked lunch and dinner for us on board, and was delightful.
Favourite villa moment: Sitting on the upper balcony with a cup of coffee in the morning or drink later in the day. The view is beautiful. Reading outdoors in the sitting area with the wicker couches. Evening walks to the Tavern Lanterna along the rocky path and moonlit walks back home. Jumping in the warm pool after being in the cold sea. Having a drink down by the sea at night and listening to the water while enjoying the company of friends. Ending the day with everyone gathered around the dining room table talking at the same time about our favorite moments, planning the next day, or just checking emails on our mobile devices, all while enjoying a cocktail of course.Stayed June 2013
It was a very nice stay. The landlord is very friendly, courteous and eager. The signs and directions could be a little better. Even after careful consideration, in this house to lack nothing! The pool is cleaned every other day that we have not in more expensive homes in this form. We'll be back.
Stayed May 2013
The fact that this villa was miles away from eateries and shops and VERY difficult to get to if you arrive after dark. We also found a better route than you suggested after leaving the main road. Would not rate the villa as "luxurious". The kitchen was tiny. There was nowhere to sit inside except at an uncomfortable bench and table. Only one restaurant close by and it had closed.
Favourite villa moment: The view
Villa Comment: There are many comfortable chairs on the upper and lower terraces of the villa and guests can always move the sofas around to where they want. For 2013 there will be new chairs for the indoor dining table and a new fitted white kitchen.
Stayed September 2012
The owner was very kind, he cooked us several time for free! He was fantastic. There was a restaurant in the corner: beautiful view, perfect food.
Stayed June 2012
We met the owner two times during the visit and he was very helpful.
Recommend: San Marco is nice restaurant about 20 km from the villa. The food was excellent. Exact location of the restaurant and brochure can be found from the villa.
Favourite villa moment: The view to the ocean from the balcony every morningStayed July 2012
We loved this villa, beautiful setting and all mod cons. The view from the balcony is superb and the pool is bigger than we expected. Would have hired more powerful cars if we'd known how steep the descent down to it was! The caretaker/owner was helpful when the door key broke in the lock and swiftly dealt with the problem so our holiday wasn't disrupted at all. There is only one shop and cafe nearby but Marina/Ragoza are 15 minutes drive away and Trogir is 25 minutes and they are all lovely. We would definitely recommend this villa.
Stayed September 2011
It would have been appropriate to inform about the location being quite far from the town, and difficult to reach. In particular as the driving directions given by Croatian Villas is incorrect and misguiding. Road information and road signs, which were partly missing and partly misleading. Impressed with: The beautiful landscape and the clear water of the sea, as well as the friendly atmosphere.
Stayed August 2011
The Villa was perfect for relaxing and the village itself was very quiet. It had scenic views and the actual village was quite authentic and offered some locally produced products, such as olive oil. Including that, the owner of the villa was very helpful with all the things what came to the villa or other things during the trip. I can highly recommend this villa to anyone enjoying a peaceful holiday in a beautiful place. Those who like partying, this place isn't the one.
Stayed June 2011
It was a great place, really a perfect accommodation.
Stayed August 2009
The owner was very helpful and we would reccomend this villa to anyone
Impressed with: Very friendly people and excellent value for money.
Recommend: We found that the villa was that nice we, used the barbecue facilities at the villa. On the couple of occasions we ate out we went into Trogir
Favourite villa moment: The whole stay was very pleasantStayed June 2014
Excellent. It was fabulous.
Stayed August 2014
Stunning view, wonderful villa fantastic location. clean beautifully presented. There was an overflow pipe on the balcony that constantly filled up and dropped down on to balcony below.. needs guttering and pipe to drain into more than just a bucket.. Also there needs a sofa inside the property as on a rainy day no wear comfortable to sit. May be a cover for the pool as my 5 year old found it cold..
Fantastic experience really helpful from the start with all the information..
Impressed with:The scenery, the atmosphere the pace of life, the people
Not impressed with: The airport!
Recommend: Primosten was beautiful. We hired a boat to the blue lagoon which was stunning..
Favourite villa moment: Lying on the sun loungers looking across the bay at the stars and moon at night with the family.Stayed August/September 2014
